Christmas in August.

With Christmas just around the corner it's time to think about starting those cards. The Dream team will making cards for the holidays all through this month.  I decided to use an older stencil that I just received for this card, I really like this stencil (LL 499) Christmas Stocking. I used the double glitter technique and Dreamweaver Double-sided Mounting Paper for this card. The glitter I used was Glitter Ritz microfine glitter in the colors: Fire Red, Moss Green and Dark Gold. Don't forget to use the yummy Hawaiian Coconut soap that Dreamweaver sells, on the back of your stencil. WHY? Because it makes it easier to remove the stencil from the sticky surface of your paper.

Want to get into the holiday spirit a little early?  Link your own Christmas in August creations to the Dream It Up! blog mr. linky, or email pics of your creations to lynell@..., for an opportunity to win this wonderful newly released Heart Ornaments:

Don't you just love this new design? There are several newly released stencils and products from CHA last month, which you can view for yourself HERE. During the week of August 20th - 25th, the Dream Team will be posting all week with a hop on Saturday to top it all...featuring all of these new fabulous designs...in collaboration with the Woodware UK team. 1. I used this same stencil for my first attempt at the double glitter technique and have loved it ever since. Great job, Georgia!

  6. I love bouncing from your gorgeous beach scene from last week to the Christmas stocking this week. Lol. This industry is so funny. Anyway...love your glittered stocking, and the torn paper edge.
