Thursday's Dream Scheme's

Today's sketch can be seen on the other member's blogs, my computer is having issues this morning pulling the sketch over. Anyway this is my take on the sketch I started by using a navy blue card. My background was done by using the the new large striped stencil (LX7002) this is a great stencil to have because you can use it for a stripe background or a plaid background. For today's card I did a plaid background using Navy Blue and Meadow Green Paintsticks. I knew it would take me awhile to do the background so before I started I decided to paste the Celtic Knot (LL345) with metallic copper paste. It takes a while to dry so by the time I finished doing the background the paste was dry. I mounted the pasted Celtic Knot to a olive green layer. to the background layer I added green and blue ribbons and some little metallic dots. This card was simple and fun. With the exception of the embellishments everything here is available through http://dreamweaverstencils.com/, check out the website for stores where their products can be purchased. I encourage you to check out the other design team blogs to see their ideas using this sketch, each of us has our own different style and you can get some really great ideas, and don't forget to check out the Dream It Up blog to see what's going on there. See y'all next week with a new and exciting challenge.

  6. Interesting how we both had a similar color scheme going this week, with the exception of the blue. Love the blue and green plaid...very soft. And the celtic design in copper is beautiful.
