I did something a little different, for the background I didn't use a stencil. I used double sided mounting paper which is available from Dreamweaver. I started off by mounting a piece of card stock to one side of the mounting paper, then I turned it over and cut a wavy line on the resist paper (don't cut all the way through you just want to cut the resist paper) and carefully removed just that portion. I then sprinkled Frayed Burlap Distress Powders to make it look like sand and heated the powder with my heat gun. Next I cut a straight line at the half way mark, I sprinkled this area with Glitter Ritz micro fine glitter using Silver, Wingfield Blue and Robin's Egg Blue, this became my water. The last half of the card ws sprinkled with Blue Jeans distress powders. When that was finished I used my spatula and regular embossing paste to make the foam on the beach.
I set this aside to dry and while this was happening I taped my stencil LL329 Beach Chair onto a piece of white card stock and rouged in color using a small stencil brush and the following Momento inks: Tangelo, Danube Blue and Gray Flannel. I used the Picasso LL332 to mask the umbrella to keep the blue and orange stripes from getting the colors muddied.
I hope you are all having a great summer, see you next week.
