Make a Wish
Today's post may not look like it fits the challenge for this month, that's because after a few wonderful days away and a great Mother's day with my family I woke up Monday with the Creeping Crud that is going around. This doesn't allow one to feel very creative. I decided I could still post, I have the new stencil designs just being released. This one Book Cover (LX7015) is already one of my favorites. I started with glossy paper and Color Solutions Alcohol Inks, Thistle (CS104) and Sugar Plum (CS208). I put these colors on the felt applicator along with some blending solution and proceed to pounce the colors onto the paper in a random fashion, when I finished get the color on I added more of the blending solution and went over the color I put on to get a fun marbling background. I then took my stencil and taped it down on the marbled background. I used Dreamweaver Glossy Black paste to paste my image. I then set it aside to dry. Glossy pastes take longer to dry so I end up putting it somewhere out of sight and working on other things and coming back to it a couple hours later. Now that my image is dry I repositioned the stencil back over the image and lightly pounced on Palette Stick and Stamp glue over the image. I then used a brush and added Moonstone, Purple Satin and Gold dust Metallic F/x. I hope you all have a great week.
