Dreamweaver Challenge for February: Going Green or St. Patty's Day

For today's post I wanted to keep it simple, because I just got my art room back and I've been busy setting up. I decided to use the Retro Sitting Kitty (LL3020) and the Big Dot Background (LX 7011). I dry embossed the kitty on white card stock by running it through my big shot and I did the Big dots in the same manner on green card stock. I then added color to the kitty by placing the stencil over the embossed image and using a small stenciling brush I brushed in Adirondack's Willow, once done with that I added Citrus in to areas where I wanted shading. Then sliding a cross stitch screen (SC) underneath I added Adirondack Lettuce just on the tummy, the top of the head and the back leg and base of the tail. The big dot background was done the same way with the same colors only using a 1/2 in stencil brush. I added some twine and a button for my embellishments and to green rhinestones for the eyes.
Now don't forget to play along with us this week for the chance to win the challenge. Go to the Dream It Up! blog and use Mr. Linky to link your card to the blog or e-mail your creation to Lynell and she will get it on the blog. Go now and check out the blogs of my sister Dream Team members and see what they came up with this week.
